DGR VICE PRESIDENT JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities and Procedures

1. Attend DGR e-board meetings, Monthly Membership Meetings, and other emergency/special meetings as may be called.
2. Chair any DGR meetings in the President's absence.
3. Represent DGR in the President's absence as required/requested.
4. May co-sign DGR checks with the DGR Treasurer, the DGR Assistant Treasurer, and/or the DGR Secretary.
5. In consultation with the DGR Membership Chair, will utilize the information sent annually to the DGR President by the Riverside County Democratic Party (RCDP) concerning RCDP Chartering requirements. The VP will ensure the chartering requirements of the RCDP are completed in a timely manner in order for DGR to be re-chartered no later than January 1st of each year.
6. During odd-numbered years, the clubs chartered by the Riverside County Democratic Party (RCDP) must complete several steps in order to participate in the bi-annual Pre-Endorsement Conferences regarding the endorsement of local partisan candidates. These positions include Congressional candidates, State Senate members, and State Senate candidates. See Article IX of the DGR Bylaws for details.
7. In the event the office of the DGR President becomes vacant, the Vice-President shall automatically become the DGR President for the remainder of the unexpired term.

1. Check email at least daily.
2. Respond promptly to DGR Officers, DGR Members, and Community Telephone Calls.
3. Read and respond as needed to the DGR Officers Group Texting.
4. Be familiar with DGR Bylaws.
