DGR TREASURER JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities and Procedures

  1. Collect membership dues:
    1. If paid via check, will receive from the DGR Membership Chair a copy of the completed DGR Membership Application Form and the check.
    2. If paid via cash, will receive from the DGR Membership Chair a copy of the receipt given to the prospective member (in lieu of a check), a copy of the completed DGR Membership Application Form, and the cash payment.
    3. If paid via ActBlue, will print out that payment along with the electronic DGR Membership Application Form.
  2. Deposit funds into DGR bank account.
  3. Reconcile bank accounts.
  4. Provide written monthly reports of the club's finances at DGR e-board meetings and DGR Monthly Membership Meetings.
  5. Pay DGR bills. DGR checks are to be co-signed by one of the following: DGR President, DGR Vice-President, DGR Assistant Treasurer, and/or DGR Secretary.
  6. File required reports to FPPC.
  7. Meet quarterly with DGR Audit Chair to review DGR's financial health.
  8. Quarterly, provide Year-to-Date income and expenditures to the DGR e-board.
  9. Attend DGR E-board Meetings, Monthly Membership Meetings, and any other emergency/special meetings as may be called.
  10. Preparation of the DGR annual budget:
    1. Prepare draft of Annual DGR Budget to initially be discussed at the October DGR e-board meeting.
    2. Participate in DGR e-board discussion of the Annual DGR Budget, which must be finalized at the November e-board meeting and presented to the DGR Membership at the November Monthly Membership Meeting for adoption by the DGR Membership.
    3. Lead discussion in the preparation of a budget for the future fiscal year.
    4. Submit, as needed from time-to-time, amendments to the DGR budget for the current fiscal year, which shall be adopted by a majority vote.
    5. Monitor budget and provide quarterly budget updates.
