The Democrats of Greater Riverside would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our September 20 Meet the Candidates event such a success!
It was a great day of conversation, connection, and community as DGR members, local Democrats, community members, and candidates from throughout our region came together in Riverside. Events like this give voters an opportunity to meet the people seeking to represent their communities, hear directly from candidates, ask questions, and learn more about the races that will appear on the November ballot.
We were especially grateful to welcome Joy Silver, Chair of the Riverside County Democratic Party, and thank her for joining us and for her continued work supporting Democrats throughout Riverside County.
Thank You to Our Candidates
Most importantly, DGR extends our sincere appreciation to all of the candidates who took time out of their busy campaign schedules to participate:
- Mark Takano — U.S. Congress
- Dr. Tiffanie Tate — California State Senate
- Andrea Garcia — Riverside County Superior Court
- Clarissa Cervantes — California State Assembly
- Aram Ayra — Riverside City Council
- Kari Then — Riverside Community College District
- Jose Alcala — Riverside Community College District
- Justin Jackson — Moreno Valley School District
- Brandy Clark — Moreno Valley School District
- Jose Luis Godinez — Jurupa Valley City Council
- Edgar Castelan — Jurupa Valley City Council
- George Ruiz — Jurupa Valley City Council
- Nathan Urena — Eastern Municipal Water District
- Christen Montero — Western Municipal Water District
- Rana Saba-Hekman — Eastvale City Council
- Julian Herrera — La Quinta City Council
Having candidates representing races from Congress and the State Legislature to our city councils, school boards, community college district, water districts, and the courts made the event a wonderful opportunity to learn about the many important decisions voters will make this November.
Thank You, Riverside!
A special thank you goes to our DGR members, volunteers, and community members who attended and helped make the day possible. Whether you helped organize the event, welcomed guests, supported candidates, or simply came out to listen and learn, your participation made the event a success.
At DGR, we believe one of our most important roles is creating opportunities for Democrats to get informed, get connected, and get involved. Saturday’s turnout was another reminder of just how much energy and enthusiasm there is across our region as we head toward the November election.
To everyone who joined us — thank you!
And to all of the candidates who participated, thank you for stepping forward to serve your communities and for spending part of your weekend with the Democrats of Greater Riverside.
Now, on to November!
