Riverside Democrats Show Up Strong to Protest Trump’s Attacks on Democracy

This past Saturday marked the largest day of protest since Trump returned to office — and Riverside showed up strong. As millions marched at over 1,300 events nationwide, our city sent a clear message: we won’t stand by while Trump and Elon Musk try to dismantle democracy for their own gain.

Thousands gathered in downtown Riverside, united in purpose. Democrats of Greater Riverside (DGR) stood shoulder to shoulder with activists, families, and union members — raising voices, waving signs, and showing the power of community resistance.

While over 100,000 rallied in D.C. and thousands more in cities like New York and Seattle, our local action proved this is a truly national movement. Riverside stood tall — loud, organized, and unshakable.

Just days after Senator Cory Booker’s powerful 25-hour floor speech, we answered his call: “These are not normal times in America.”

And we’re not treating them like they are. Keep making that Good Trouble!
