Good Trouble Lives On in Riverside
July 17, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with the people.
On July 17, the anniversary of Congressman John Lewis’s passing, we’re taking action across the country to defend our democracy and carry forward his legacy of Good Trouble.

Are You Inspired to Make a Difference?
On June 14th we shouted “No Kings” in downtown Riverside. Now inspired to action, we will stand in solidarity with champions for racial justice from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 17. The next event will be called “Good Trouble Lives on in Riverside” and it will be co-hosted by Indivisible Riverside and some of the most effective groups in Riverside’s African-American community. An intergenerational panel of experts wll analyze how the heroic Congressman John Lewis made good trouble. We will make some good trouble ourselves with community groups who are writing postcards, registering voters and calling on lawmakers to find their spines and stand up to injustice. There is so much injustice. It includes racial discrimination, unwarranted deportations and policies that favor the richest people in the country. Come take action in solidarity with the community. No signs necessary. Just bring your hands ready to work. It is all happening downtown at the Riverside Main Library, 3900 Mission Inn Ave. This is right across the street from the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California.Sponsoring organizations:
