Best Practices
- Check email at least daily.
- Respond in a timely manner to telephone calls and emails related to DGR.
- Read and respond as needed to the DGR Officers Group Texting.
- Be familiar with DGR Bylaws.
Responsibilities and Procedures
- Attend Monthly E-board meetings, Monthly Membership Meetings, and other emergency meetings as may be necessary.
- Conduct Policy & Research Committee meetings as deemed needed.
- Organize speakers and forums for DGR meetings. May work with other Committee Chairs in doing this.

Keep current on issues of interest to area Democrats and may, at the
request of the DGR E-board, like-minded organizations, and/or DGR Members,
research:
- Local issues
- State issues
- National issues
- Legislative activities (local, state, national)

Facilitate open discussion and debate regarding issues of interest to
area Democrats.
- Research, analyze and present information to DGR.
- Upon the request of DGR members or like-minded organizations, draft and recommend positions for adoption by DGR. The draft of the recommended positions shall first be submitted to the DGR E-board for input and recommendations prior to being submitted to the DGR Membership for approval.
